We've been developing different VFX looks as we power through for final delivery of Twilight Storytellers: Sunrise in early July. I was looking for a magical storybook realism, and am pretty happy with what we've been able to do so far. See a test below:
We wrapped on May 11th! What a whirlwind! Found out April 1st that I was selected to direct. Crewed up and did all pre-production and principal photography for this Egyptian 1800 period piece within 5 weeks. So impressed by our stellar team and what we were able to accomplish on this short turn-around. Here's a pic of Maritte Go, superstar producer, and I in the wee hours of the morning on our final day.
We're deep in the "research" and planning phase for the Twilight Saga mini-movie, "Sunrise" so of course I'm revisiting and discovering as many Vampire movies as I can!

I'm excited to announce that I am one of six directors chosen to create a short-film based on the Twilight Saga as part of the New Storytellers contest sponsored by Volvo, Women in Film, Lionsgate, and Tongal! I'm incredibly honored to have this opportunity.
I'll tell the story of Benjamin and Tia of the Egyptian Coven, based on Alanna Smith's winning screenplay, Sunrise. Middle Eastern actors are rarely afforded mainstream leading roles in American Movies.
In my directing choices, I've made it my goal to include more diversity on screen and am happy that I'll be able to continue to do so with this film.
I intend to represent this unique time period in Egypt (1800 - 1810) on screen with as much historical accuracy as possible, and am working with a Middle Eastern Scholar to do so.
Gorgeous Titles for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 above. Benjamin and Tia are in this movie.
I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to continue to practice my craft alongside a fantastic crew under the mentorship of brilliant leaders from Women in Film, Lionsgate, and Stephanie Meyer, creator of the Twilight Saga.
I'm excited to announce that we wrapped all principal photography and pick-ups on short film MIRA last weekend (March 29th)! We're well into our 4th edit and will editorial picture lock in mid-May. It'll be a while longer for VFX while I raise more money for post, but it feels good to have this done.
